Wonderfull and very usefull!I like it!

Did I just pay for an obsolete app? I used to have this app (I think it was free) but all the languages disappeared except a few. I was searching the App Store for a replacement and found a paid version and thought it was a newer version, but still only a few languages. Needs to be removed from the store.

I can't get a screen in English for the language selection screen. It only shows Asian words (I think Japanese).

The old version used to translate words in the Book of Mormon. Then it stopped this function.I bought bought the new version because I thought it would translate words again. I want to be able to look up a word I don’t recognize. Please advise

I noticed that many of the Book of Mormon scripture verses are missing for the Cebuano language. Any plans to fix that?

I have really loved this app until a week or so ago when my second language (Thai) randomly disappeared and will not reload. I get a message when I select Thai, “downloading content” but it doesn’t. Deleted and reloaded the app several times with no success. No app support to help with the problem. Frustrated and disappointed!

Hello. I love this app and can’t live without it, but the audio no longer works. Please advise!

The app has potential. But on an iPhone the home bar at the bottom of the screen covers up the round audio scroll button so there is no way to rewind the audio. Plus there is no tech support available. If you are looking to learn another language while reading the scriptures thus app is not it.

I love being able to see multiple languages side by side. It’s a fantastic resource in aid of my efforts to retain Sāmoan a decade after my mission. The number of languages you offer is fantastic. Please keep this app going!

This app is practical and convenient to use for scripture reading and learning a language. In LDS Tools, I would have to switch between screens, so I’m thrilled to have a split-screen view of the scriptures in different languages. The translations are adequate and consistent. What isn’t consistent is that delightful split-screen view of the languages I am studying. Every time I exit out of the app — not suspending or closing, but exiting — it resets to display only the English text; this means I have to scroll all the way down the language menu to click on Russian every time I log back into the app. I would love to see this fixed, and I’ve looked all over the app to see if there was an option or mechanic to keep my desired language settings. Lastly, I think it would be great if the user could swap which language goes in which column, meaning, for example, I could choose to have the Russian translation on the left column and the English version on the right instead of having each language locked into right and left respectively. This technique helps me and others learn different languages.

I bought this app specifically to help with French and Italian pronunciation and there’s nothing. I couldn’t find anywhere to listen to the French version. I might as well have just bought a physical copy of the French bom, it would have been cheaper. Really disappointed. :/

I listen to the audio & read along with it and it has been a great help in learning to pronounce Spanish correctly

I have been loving this app but several times it won’t open. I go to open it and it acts like it’s going to open but then just disappears. It’s frustrating because I mark words but since it won’t open I have to delete the app and then reinstall. However then my markings aren’t there. I’ve had to do this several times. Why does it disappear randomly?!? I could give it a 5 if this did not happen.

This is a wonderful app that I use all the time. My sister, however, has Android. Is there a chance that this will become available on that platform?

When trying to play other languages audio only English plays.

I was used to reading the Book of Mormon in English and Portuguese, side by side. Now, the Portuguese translation no longer appears. I used the email link in the app to contact the developers and it bounced back. What is going on? Update - The Portuguese translation now appears and I can hear the audio of the scriptures, but it is very fast. There is no control of speed. I tried to contact the developers, and the web page is blank. Things are getting better, so I am upping my rating from one to three stars, but they aren’t there yet.

For my iPhone 6, when English and German are displayed, 20 chapters of the Book of Mormon fail to appear. In the New Testament 62 are missing including 6 in Revelation, chapters 11 12 13 14 21. Similar, but only slightly fewer omissions displayed on my iPhone6. See Revelation chapters 7 11 13 & 14. My iPad, 6th generation apparently does not have this issue with this software.

Cannot get audio to work at all and it doesn’t seem to be down loaded. Not finding any web tech site on app to contact and no help screens to guide the purchaser.

Neither my brother on his iPhone nor I on my iPad can get the Spanish audio to play. When looking at the "Manage Audio" screen, it says 0.0 MB for the Spanish audio file. The email option to make a suggestion or report a problem does not respond with anything. I have tried to re-download the app but that does not help.

I was using it with iPhone 7, but this app doesn’t work with my new iPhone 11.

I’m so excited to learn Spanish by reading the Book of Mormon side by side like Elder Groberg did on his mission. However, the volume part won’t work! It won’t play and I tried emailing the email provided and it came back. So hopefully writing this will help me get some help because I really desire to learn by using this great tool. Thank you.

It keeps crashing

I bought this to do side by side English/Spanish. Audio doesn’t work. Company seems to be out of business and I have paid for a worthless app.

I have been using this now for a few years. It helps my wife and I as we are now serving in a Spanish speaking ward.

This app has always been touchy for me, but it usually helped to delete and redowload it. Did it again a couple days ago, and got no Portuguese content, only English. Email to developer returned, and developer website down. Needs to be taken off the App Store if they’ve gone under.

I enjoyed this app for a while. It helped me to both read the scriptures and learn Italian at the same time...until recently when it stopped translating. Prior when I held my finger on a word it would provide the transaction. Now all I get is a message saying it could not translate. I checked around the app and have not found a way to contact the developer. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app but that did not work. I'm frustrated.

Review#2 I LOVE this resource and use it every single day as part of my scripture and language study. I gave three stars to draw attention that I recently have had to download the Japanese library anew on every use. Please fix and I’ll go back to 4 stars (until zoom is enabled). Thanks! Review #1 This app enabled me to read the entire Book of Mormon in Japanese during my daughter’s 18 month mission. Love it! However, the furigana in the Japanese is very difficult to read. Can you enable zoom so I can enlarge the text when necessary? Thanks!

I am extremely grateful for this app! I went to Chile on my mission so I can brush up on my Spanish easily with this app but what I love most is that if I am interested in learning another language like German I have the side by side comparison so I quickly grasp the syntax, vocabulary, conjugation all while focusing on scripture study. I really can’t say enough great things about this app!

Suddenly I can no longer get this app that I paid to have. I’m very disappointed.

I’m so disappointed that it doesn’t have the Audio in French. I need it! I have searched and searched. LDS Gospel Library has it only for Android and I have iPhone. If anyone reading this who has an iPhone has found an app, please let me know here.

Please help me. I am unable to add French to my reading. It quit a short time ago, so I bought a new app. But it still doesn’t let me do French. I absolutely love the app but I need the French option. Please help me.

It would be great if it worked, but it doesn’t let me pick any language other than German. I try to remove German and nothing happens. I try to add Danish and it says its downloading then it does nothing. It worked the first time I used it, but not since.

I am very happy with this app, We are on a mission in Mexico and I have loved reading and listening to the scriptures side by side. Thank you. I do need help with a problem, they down load for audio has stopped working, not sure what went wrong. Thanks

Paid the fee so I could have French and English side by side but only Spanish works. Tried to contact the developer, but their website can be purchased. All emails are returned with no contact. Good idea, but worthless without the developer to assist.

Recently stopped downloading French. So I paid 6.99 for supposedly a full version but still nothing. Rip off. Apparently developer does not even read these reviews to respond to them. But my credit card was charged.

I bought the app to read Chinese, Pinyin, and English side-by-side (which is the entire purpose of the app). Once I successfully downloaded the languages I wanted within the app (which was buggy and I’m not sure what I did to make it finally work), I turned them on in the settings. Then I went to library to select a chapter of the Book of Mormon, buuut the library tells me that the ONLY content available for my languages is General Conference. Not want I wanted to read, but okay I guess. When I click on General Conference (because it’s the ONLY option for Chinese and Pinyin) the app takes me to a different iTunes Store page to pay for their General Conference language study app. So the app that I paid for literally has zero content available for my languages. Alright. Waiting for my payment to be processed so that I can get a refund. TLDR: Chinese and Pinyin have zero content available and automatically redirect me to pay more money for another app.

This app does not show translation for Tongan in Old Testament or New Testament the whole reason I bought it..

I have increased my spirituality and it’s helped Foster my second language all at the same time so I can study one complete time and it’s so easy to understand and has all of the hard words that aren’t frequently used in your day-to-day conversations. The different languages are side-by-side so if you get tripped up you can look instantly and get back on track. Thank you for this app

I only got this app for the chinese audio, which it does not have. Very disappointed... the description made it seem like this was included for all languages

I bought the application believing that it contained the full translation of the New and Old Testament and to include the Book of Mormon. After buying the application the New Nd Old Testament was not translated in the Tongan Language. I believe this was misleading as it should have mentioned somewhere as to what will be translated in the app so we as a consumer know what we are buying.

I was very excited to get this app, as I have interest in several languages and love to read the scriptures in two or more languages at the same time. However, since one of the languages that I like to read in is Mandarin Chinese, I was most interested in the Pinyin option to help me with my sounds and especially tones. I am much disappointed to see that while all of the sounds/tones associated with the Chinese characters are present in the correct order in Pinyin, THEY ARE NOT PROPERLY BROKEN INTO THE CHINESE WORDS THE PINYIN LETTERS ARE SUPPOSED TO REPRESENT. THEY SEEM TO BE JUST RANDOMLY SEPARATED INTO ‘WORDS’ WHICH IS VERY CONFUSING. Even though Chinese words are all written in characters, with even spacing, most words are compounds of two or more characters and the Pinyin should be grouped into those word compounds, not just randomly spaced into ‘words’. PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO FIX THIS.

Seriously? This starts at 1 Nephi 1. Where is the title page? Where are the testimonies?

I can understand that as a business grows they need capital to sustain them but offering a great product for free like this and then changing it over night to lose almost all functionality just for money seems low. I wish they would charge for further functionality and not remove functionality and ask for payments like they do now.

This is such a great tool for study in more than me language! Bring up two different languages side-by-side and learn the meaning of phrases by comparing them. I can study in my mission language and still refer to my own native language while doing so.

It has been great to read in Spanish, and revive old missionary skills. Not all the words translate, but you can easily look at the English verse and figure out the translation.
